Where have all the sparrows gone

All was silent before the appointed hour
then there came a faint hint of light
the light engulfed everything living and dead
and then the sun rose like a yellow orb
but it was all silent still
except for the music playing,
from the ruin of a temple
Tried as hard as I could
but couldn't hear a single chirp

where had all the sparrows gone.

Cannot sleep anymore
just toss around in an unmade bed
waiting for the dawn again
the darkest hour is about to pass
and now I see the light again
soon I can feel he golden sunlight
It is becoming hot again
but all is silent still
except for the far sound of a dying engine
can't hear the chirping still

Where have all the sparrows gone.

faintest idea what.
